Biography – Angela C. Jenifer

Angela Jenifer, an educator for over 26 years, currently serves as the Principal of “The” Jackson Elementary School. She has previously served as an elementary and middle school teacher, Instructional Math Coach, District Data Analyst, and assistant principal.

Mrs. Jenifer began her tenure in Clayton County as a middle school mathematics teacher.   She also used her musical talents and served as a Choral Music Teacher. After leaving the middle school level, Mrs. Jenifer served as an early intervention teacher at James A. Jackson Elementary school. After two years, Mrs. Jenifer had the opportunity to serve as an Instructional Math Coach.   As a Math Coach, she provided ongoing math support to teachers and students by implementing standards-based methodologies with fidelity. She served as the assistant principal for Jackson Elementary for the past ten years. 

As a Data Analyst for Clayton County Schools,  Ms. Jenifer worked closely with district-level and school-level leadership by preparing and presenting assessment data results. She provided support to elementary, middle, and high schools, implementing strategies for improving achievement using formative and summative assessment data.

Mrs. Jenifer received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Hampton University and a master’s degree in Music Education from Hampton University. Mrs. Jenifer also has earned her credentials in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia and has an earned Master’s of Information Technology from American InterContinental University. Mrs. Jenifer is married to Theodore Jenifer, also a Hampton University graduate. They have one daughter, Victoria who earned her B.S. in Biology Pre-Med from Hampton University this past May.

Mrs. Jenifer is a member of Cascade United Methodist Church, where she serves as a member of the Praise Team and a member of the New Advent Choir. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 

Mrs. Jenifer enjoys singing, reading, journaling, traveling, riding her Peloton, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Jenifer was influenced and mentored at a young age by her mother who also served as an educator in Clayton County Public Schools.   

Ms. Jenifer believes in enjoying life by being of service to others. She lives by the quote, “Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift”.
