It is my pleasure to introduce myself as Mrs. Aja Banks, one of the school counselors at "The" Jackson Elementary School! I come from – and married into– a long line of educators! Both of my grandmothers were teachers, my maternal grandfather was a principal, my mother is a retired school librarian and my mother in law is a retired school superintendent.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hampton University, a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education Degree from the University of South Carolina (Columbia) and a Master of Arts Degree in School Guidance Counseling from Cambridge College (Augusta).
Prior to my arrival here, I taught at the elementary school level for nineteen years.
I am looking forward to learning, growing and being of service in Clayton County at "The" Jackson Elementary School, a place where all of my career dreams came true!
Outside of school, I enjoy distance running, perfecting my golf swing, shopping for antiques, writing, photography and spending quality time with my precious family.
